Guardian Pharmacy of NWFL recently attended the Florida Assisted Living Association’s (FALA) annual Advocacy Days at the state Capitol in Tallahassee, Florida. Community directors and executives from across the state spent two days at the Capitol discussing important matters that impact the quality of life for seniors residing in assisted living communities.
There were many different sectors of the long-term care industry represented at the Capitol. At Guardian NWFL, we believe it’s very important to be part of these discussions that could potentially shape the way pharmacies and the long-term care industry progress. These conversations are also key in improving the quality of care for our seniors.
A highlight of the event was attending The House of Representatives legislative session, as well as a Senate committee hearing. We were honored to be a part of FALA’s Advocacy Days and extend our sincerest gratitude to the organization’s CEO, Shad Haston, his staff, and to our state legislators for their time in listening to us.
